Create two MS Word 2007 documents • Open MS Word 2007 • Type, This is a test • Save the file to the temp folder • Name the file, Test1 • Open a new document • Type, This is another test • Save the file to the temp folder • Name the file, Test2 • Close MS Word and save both of the files We will use these files later
Jump Lists • Designed to give access to the most recent files used • You create Jump Lists by “pinning” files, programs, for folders to the start menu • Jump Lists can be created on the Start Menu and the Task Bar
Pinning a Program to the Start Menu Jump List 3. Right click on, Calculator 4. Click, Pin to Start Menu Click Start Type in, calc Calculator is now on the Start Menu and it will stay there until you unpin it
Unpinning a program from the Start Menu Jump List 1. To unpin the Calculator, right click on it, and click on, Unpin from Start Menu 2. Follow the previous steps to pin MS Word 2007 to the Jump List on the Start Menu (Do not Unpin this program)

Pinning a folder to the Start Menu Jump List 1. Click on the arrow to the left of the OSDisk (C:) icon 2. While holding down the left mouse button, click on the Temp folder and drag it the start menu icon
The Temp Folder is pinned on the Start Menu. It will stay on the start menu until you remove the folder from the list. Note this does not delete the folder, it just removes it from the Jump List To unpin the Temp folder, right click on it, and click on, Remove from this list.
