Before a new miner begins work at the mine the miner must be provided with no less than 4 hours of training in 7 designated subjects which must address site-specific hazards. • A Site Tour is a requirement for mine operators. • Independent contractors are not required to use this method in new miners training. However contractors may receive a site tour during their site specific hazard training. Training Plan Development New Miner Training

Annual refresher training must include: Instruction on changes at the mine that could adversely affect the miner’s health or safety. The changes could be equipment, environment or process. Training Plan Development Annual Refresher Training

MISTAKE! This form is found in the earlier printed Starter Kits. The form did not have a row for Duration of Training. You may draw a row in for the duration, label the row and record the course lengths. This may be the best solution to a record already filled out. Each training session must be recorded after each session is completed. Note the different days of each subject. This training record must be certified after the training is complete.
