Key Codes • Unique code for each course and user • “Unlocks” the course for the coach on the website • Key codes provided to administrators in an Excel spreadsheet
Getting Started Checklist • Provided by ASEP to administrators via email with key codes • Details instructions for distributing key codes to coaches • Contains ASEP contact information
Course Distribution • Copy and paste key codes from spreadsheet into emails sent to coaches (one unique key code for each coach) • Copy and paste key codes into letters which are printed and distributed to coaches (one unique key code for each coach)
Course Access • Have your coaches create an account on the ASEP website first before attempting to access their courses • Visit www.ASEP.com and select “Sign In” from the top banner • Select “New users, please register now” and follow the prompts for creating an account
Course Access (continued) • After account is created, visit www.ASEP.com, sign in, and select “Courses and Tests” tab from site banner • Select “Begin or continue my online course” from the drop-down menu • Create an ASEP ID; click the “No” tab if first-time user • Click “Please create my ASEP ID now” tab • Note ID number
Course Access (continued) • Click “Enter a key code” text link • Copy and paste key code into field • Affiliate with “Boys and Girls Clubs” from the drop-down menu of organizations • Select the sub-organization that thecoach is affiliated with • Provide sport(s) coached and level and click “Submit”
Course Access (continued) • Coach now registered with the course • Click “Click here to continue” text link • Click the course text link from the “My Courses” area • Course will launch and is ready to be taken
Course Access (continued) • Can return to the course as many times as needed for up to a year (even after course is completed) • We encourage coaches to revisit the course to download documents and review activities • Simply sign in, and click on “Courses and Tests,” “Begin or Continue My Course,” andcourse text link
Online Course Demonstration • Administrators were granted special “reviewer access” to the Coaching Youth Basketball online course • Visit www.ASEP.com/reviewers • Enter your email address and the password “reviewer” • Click on the course title text link • Administrators have access to the entire course and test
Administrator Reports • Administrators can access reports of coaches trained through special “administrator access” to the ASEP database. Sara Deaville will provide administrators with this access. • Visit www.ASEP.com and sign in • Click on “Find a Coach” tab and “Administrator access for partner organizations” • Click on “Manage Association” tab
Administrator Reports (continued) • Select report number 1, National Coaches Registry Summary Report • Select the courses you want to be included in report • Select the date range and click “Submit” • Save as Excel spreadsheet
Course Evaluation • Encourage your coaches to complete the online course evaluation after completing the course • Also encourage them to participate in Survey Monkey survey gauging website and ASEP customer service experience • https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/38ZFV2K
