Why come to tutorials • Topic Review • Review Quizzes on lecture material • Test/exam preparation guidance • Topic Comprehension • Videos related to lecture material • Discussing and applying lecture material to new examples. • Topic Extension • Explanation of new material not covered in lectures • Learning how this topic fits with other topics you have studied.

  3. This week…. • We’ll focus on test 1 in Week 4 by • Giving you a study guide • Going through some previous test questions so you’ll know what to expect • Reviewing some concepts we learned in Week 2 using a new example.

  4. Test One Study Guide • Details of the test • When: Wed, March 25. • Enter class at 10.10; • Reading time 10 mins fro 10.10 to 10.20 (ask any questions you have, at this time) • Writing time starts at 10.30. • 60 minutes long • Worth 20% of semester assessment

  5. Test One Study Guide • Content of test • Week 1-3 topics • Chapters 1, 2 & 5) • Study guide also on Cecil (Test 1 tab- under handouts)

  6. Format of Test • Part 1: 20 multiple choice questions • 20 MCQ @ 2 points each = 40points • Part 2: One short essay (from a choice of two) • One short essay @ 10 points = 10 points • Test marked out of 50 points total.

  7. Sample MCQ & short answers • Important note: Some of the questions in last semester’s test 1 related to Market Research, which will be not covered in lectures before this semester’s test 1. So, not all the questions in the old test are relevant when studying for this test. Just use today’s questions to study for the test. These, and other questions discussed in lectures this week, will be uploaded to Cecil on Friday morning as a “Example Test”
