  4. Terminology for Cattle Heifer – Young female that has not given birth Cow – Older female that has given birth Calf – Baby bovine CVHS Animal Science 1

  5. Terminology for Swine Barrow- • male that has not been castrated Boar- castrated young male swine Stag- • male castrated after reaching maturity CVHS Animal Science 1
