Chair –responsible for strategy and tactics of Section operation (scheduling, setting agendas for, and running meetings) –should identify “new blood”, get volunteer leaders into the pipeline, become a master delegator, find successor early –should play lead role in “paying” volunteers – recognition, recognition, recognition! -back stops everyone!
Vice Chair –should identify “new blood”, get volunteer leaders into the pipeline, become a master delegator, find successor early –learn from the Chair – get ready for next year –step up as necessary for the Chair –often has one primary responsibility; such as Programs Chair
Programs Chair and/or House • –should identify “new blood”, get volunteer leaders into the pipeline, become a master delegator, find successor early • –schedule and prepare meeting plan first thing- annual calendar • •initiate publicity for programs • •minimize surprises • –have “plan B” in hip pocket • meeting room details, webinar logistics, etc • –manage restaurant contracts & guarantees • set meeting prices • –Stay on top of physical / electronic arrangements

Treasurer –should identify “new blood”, get volunteer leaders into the pipeline, become a master delegator, find successor early –keep running ledger of Section income and expenses –prepare budget and annual income statement and balance sheet -file annual income taxes –manage Section finances for benefit of members –keep Section officers informed of financial status
