  2. “What is truth?” • Truth is an extremely valuable commodity (Pr. 23:23) • We must worship in truth (Jn. 4:24) • We must walk in truth (III Jn. 1:4) • We will be judged by truth (Rm. 2:2) • We are sanctified by truth (Jn. 17:17) • We are saved by truth (II Th. 2:13) • Rejecting the truth leads to condemnation (II Th. 2:12)

  3. 6 Characteristics of Truth • Truth is always narrow(II Pet. 2:2,15; Mt. 7:13-14; Eph. 4:4-6; Jn. 14:6) • Truth is always consistent(I Cor. 14:33; Ps. 119:160) • Truth is not determined by who believes it (Jn. 7:45-49; I Cor. 1:26-29) • Truth is not determined by how many believe it (II Pet. 2:5; Rm. 3:4) • There is no safe substitute for truth (Rm. 10:1-3; Rm. 1:24-25; II Th. 2:10-12) • Truth can be offensive(Mt. 15:1-14; Ac. 2:37)

Have you obeyed the truth? • Hear the Good News (Rm. 10:17) • Believe in Jesus Christ (Jn. 3:16) • Repent & Turn to God (Ac. 3:19) • Confess Faith in Christ (Mt. 10:32) • Be Baptized in Water (Col. 2:12) • Grow & be Faithful (II Pet. 3:18) • If you’ve erred from the truth: Repent & Pray God for Forgiveness (Ac. 8:22; Ja. 5:16)
