How many saints do we have this morning? How many of you saints are soldiers? Every saint is a soldier!
A Ready Warrior "Much of the church's warfare today is fought by blindfolded soldiers who cannot see the forces ranged against them; who are buffeted by invisible opponents and respond by striking one another."
A Ready Warrior 1.Know your enemy (v10-12) 2. Wear your armor (v13-17) 3. Power in prayer (v18-20)
Requirement number one: You must know your enemy. 1)Who is our enemy (v.12) • MacArthur wrote, "The greater the knowledge of the enemy, the greater the potential of victory." • Ephesians 6:10-12: “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
Requirement number one: You must know your enemy. Devil’s goal is to use our flesh and the world to defeat us; then, he stands back and watches.
Requirement number one: You must know your enemy. • Strengthen from the Lord (v10-11) Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.(v10) Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. (v11)
Requirement number two is: wear your armor (v 6:13-17) The Roman Legionary Armor And Battle Gear • 1st Century Roman Soldier The apostle Paul in Ephesians 6 describes the Armor of God. He was at the time chained to a Roman centurion who wore similar armor.
Requirement number two is: wear your armor (v 6:13-17) The Belt Of Truth (Warriors With Absolute Integrity). (V.14a) V.14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist…(V.14a) Roman Belt—Belt of Truth
Requirement number two is: wear your armor (v 6:13-17) 2) The breastplate of righteousness (people must see our good works).(V14b) with the breastplate of righteousness in place (V14b)
Requirement number two is: wear your armor (v 6:13-17) 3) Sandals of peace (though soldiers, we are called to be peacemakers). (v15) And with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. (v15)
Requirement number two is: wear your armor (v 6:13-17) 4) Shield of faith (for extinguishing all of Satan’s doubts and fears).(v16) In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. (V.16) The enemy has patterns in his strategy to undo our faith. Some common faith attackers are: doubt, fear, passivity, unbelief and apathy.

Requirement number two is: wear your armor (v 6:13-17) • 6) Sword of the Spirit—the Word of God (our only offensive • weapon). (v17) • "AND TAKE THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT" is the word of God. • (v17) Hebrews 4:12 says, "For the Word of God is alive and powerful. It's living and active and sharper than any two-edge sword. Roman Double-edged Sword—The Word of God
Requirement number 3: Power in Prayer (V.18-20) • Pray continually (V.18a) And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. (v18a)
Requirement number 3: Power in Prayer (V.18-20) 2) Pray for others (v18b-20) With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, may Jesus blood cover my sin, my family and my friends. I give You control of my mind, emotions, will and body. I invite You to be Lord of my life. With the name and authority we have in Jesus Christ, we bind the demons. My family and I are under your protection. I put on the full armor of God, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Sprit, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen!
