Interactions occur when one object exerts a force on another object. The result is the second object exerts a force back on the first object. What is an interaction?
Newton’s third law says that “for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction”. What is Newton’s third law?
Action and reaction forces are always equal in opposite and act on different objects. Forces come in pairs
Action reaction forces don’t cancel each other out because they act on different objects. If your hand hits the wall, the reaction is the wall hits the hand. Why don’t action reaction forces cancel each other out?
Even though the forces are equal the wall is solid and has more inertia. The damage is therefore greater to the hand than the wall. Just like the boat gets hurt worse than the pole. Why does the force hurt your hand more than the wall?
Rockets get pushed up by the reaction force of the exploding gases. The rocket pushes the gases down and the gases push the rocket up. What pushes rockets up?
