Podcasts • Open iTunes (I assume you have it) • Click on the podcasts link on the left • Look through the categories – pick Education or something else that sounds interesting to you • Click on one of the podcasts to read the information about the podcast

The Audacity of Hope • http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/ • Download this software if you don’t have a recorder that will save in mp3 format • LAME plugin (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/help/faq?s=install&item=lame-mp3) • When you have finished downloading the ZIP folder, unzip it and save the file lame_enc.dll that it contains to anywhere on your computer (I recommend C: drive, Program Files, Audacity). • The first time you use the "Export as MP3" command, Audacity will ask you where lame_enc.dll is saved. • Open Audacity, record “Testing 1, 2, 3” • File > Export as mp3 • Find where you put the dll file (one time)
Upload • Login to your newly created podbean account • Click on “Publish a podcast” • “Publish a new show” • Find the file that you just created and exported in Audacity • You’ll have to wait about 5 minutes after uploading it for them to put your sound file up • Send me the public URL to access your podcast

Assignment 1 • Portfolios, including standards (content and/or technology) when applicable
Assignment 2 • Maintain a daily podcast • Record and upload your voice every day (except Sunday) reading a Bible passage (perhaps the passage you read as part of your devotional) • At least one of your podcasts must be done via telephone • Put the URL of your podcast page on the wiki
Assignment 3 • Come up with an assignment idea using either Inspiration or Kidspiration (http://www.mywebspiration.com/) • Present a sample of that lesson to the class next week, possibly using… (see Assignment 4)
Assignment 4 • Come up with a Powerpoint presentation or software tutorial that you could demonstrate using screencast software • Record the screen cast and post it to YouTube or TeacherTube and put the URL on your wiki page • Between 1-5 minutes (don’t forget to plan/storyboard!)
Due dates • 4/15 – portfolio of projects due (on wiki), screen cast, podcasts • 4/22 – Integrated Unit Plan due and presented • 4/30 – final
