  1. Irrigation Valve and Its Types A valve is a device that allows objects or liquids such as water to pass through only one direction. If the liquid tries to pass through opposite direction, then the valve will prevent the backflow. Hence valve does play a very important role in various systems. And it is also one of the essential parts of a system as a nonfunctional valve could damage the whole system due to backflow of the liquid.

  2. Valves can be operated by different types. One type of valve operation, which is widely used, is, electromechanical. The valve is operated by an electric current which flows through a solenoid. This type of valve is very common in industry and agriculture production. Even the solenoid valve could be divided into two types. These types of valve can be of 2 ways or three ways. In 2 ways valve, the valve can make or break the communication between the two paths. Though it can be of such type that, when the valve is open communication is open or where the valve is closed, the communication is made. It will depend upon need and on basis of that, these valves could be manipulated.

  3. On the other hand, a three ways valve works in a different way. Depending upon the switch on or off, one or the other outlet could be opened and thus communication can be established. These valves play an important role in various fields such as irrigation etc. In the case of irrigation, an irrigation solenoid valve plays an important role in sprinklers. Irrigation sprinkler helps in the field by as a source of water and it can monitor various attributes. Depending on the weather, crop type it can vary the amount of water that is sprinkled. Even here, solenoid valve keeps an important role. It is due to the solenoid valves and automated controller, the irrigation system has taken a boost.

  4. The irrigation system needs two valves to properly operate. One is emergency shut off valve. This valve should be put to the closest to the source of water. If this valve isn't implemented, the, to sprinkle the water, one has to shut off the whole water in the house which is very inconvenient. The second type is irrigation valve. These are the valves that will be used in irrigation sprinklers. This valve can on or off the whole sprinkler system. Thus irrigation valve plays an important role.
