Prevention & Management Prevention Management • Maintain a normal weight. • Lower sodium intake. • Exercise regularly. • Limit alcohol intake. • Lower sodium intake to less than 1500 mg per day. • Consume more potassium, magnesium, and calcium. • Quit smoking. • Take medications as prescribed.
