The idea • Create a social network of music. • A location based music player. • Popularity of songs, like other multimedia is based on local trends. • Listen to songs around himself as well as in a specific region that are in demand. • Connections need not be limited to “friends” like on a specific networking site.

  3. Introduction to Location-based services • An information or entertainment service. • Accessible with mobile devices through the mobile network. • Utilizing the ability of obtaining the geographical position. • Applications • Social multimedia • Navigation • Tracking • Geo marketing, etc.

  12. Research Problems • Implement an application that supports fully-distributed architecture and is as light as possible and still supports advanced services. • Mine the generated data for identifyingpatterns in the genre / mood of songs played in different regions.
