  2. ABOUT US HISTORYThe airline owes its origin to McGee Airways, which was started by in 1932. The airline started its inaugural service between Anchorage and Bristol Bay and used Stinson single-engine, 3 passenger aircraft. During that time, there were no scheduled flights. Flights usually took place when there were passengers or a load of cargo or mail. The name has seen many changes but finally, in the year 1944, the name Alaska Airlines were adopted. With years the business at these airlines evolved and so did the fleet of aircraft. In today’s time, this airline runs on revenue of US$7.933 billion.
