S4 – Weather Unit. Clouds. We will learn about different types of clouds. Thin wispy high clouds. Cirrus. High, small, puffy and patchy. Cirrocumulus. Tall, fluffy angry looking grey clouds. Cumulonimbus. Medium height, small puffy clouds , patchy lines. Altocumulus. Thin and uniform.

  11. Clouds Cirro- given to high altitude clouds- means wispy - like hair. Alto- given to mid-altitude clouds- means high. Nimbo(prefix) or nimbus (suffix)- is used for clouds that bring rain. Cumulo- means heap and refer to piles of clouds. Stratus- means layer and refers to flat wide layered clouds. Learn
