I am not…assignment ---find something that "is completely the opposite of yourself“ ---choose a visual of an object (or a combination of objects) that represents what you are not—this could be a Google image, an original photo, an original drawing, a collage, etc. ---attach, to the print out, your typed response explaining why it is not like you ---Be thoughtful with the presentation of the object, the layout of the visual, and your typed paragraph. You could use quotes, song lyrics, etc. to explain your object(s) ---Due Thursday
I am not…EXAMPLE The pop top sits discarded, pulled apart from its core, yet joins the others…lost, unnecessary. Like Petra’s song lyrics from “Strong Convictions”, I do not feel lost but rooted firmly in my faith; I’ve got strong convictions ’bout the way that I live/I’ve got no concessions that I’m willing to give/Strong convictions that are worth living by/Strong convictions ’till the day I die”. I wake up knowing my beliefs and try to show others the power of knowing who you are. Have I always been this way? No, I questioned my purpose and even considered losing myself, trying to be someone different…just to be popular. Unlike these cans, I have opened my can of possibilities and are filling it with strength, vitality, academics, friends, family, and faith. My popularity comes from being proud of who I am.
