Building Medical Service Patient Lists Understanding Medical Service Patient Lists A Medical Service list displays the names of the patients admitted to a specified Medical Service (such as Audiology, Cardiology, or Cardiovascular Surgery). Since this list is system-gerenated, you cannot manually add or remove patients to or from the Medical Service list. Lesson Four
Building Medical Service Patient Lists To begin building a Patient List, open the Modify Patients Lists dialog box by selecting List Maintenance from the Patient List Menu. Lesson Four
Once you have selected List Maintenance, you will be presented with the Modify Patient List Window. Choose New to create a New Patient List. Building Medical Service Patient Lists Lesson Four
Building Medical Service Patient Lists The system will prompt you to specify what type of List to build. You can choose any type of list that you want, based on your personal preferences. Lesson Four
Building Medical Service Patient Lists Since we want to see all patients admitted to Cardiology, let’s select Medical Service. Click Next to proceed to the next screen. Lesson Four
Building Medical Service Patient Lists Select the appropriate Medical Service by clicking in the applicable box(es). More than one Medical Service can be selected. Lesson Four
Building Medical Service Patient Lists The system will automatically create a name for the Patient List based on the Medical Services that that you have selected. If you wish to change the name of the Patient List, enter the name in the Name box. Lesson Four
Building Medical Service Patient Lists Click on the Discharged Criteria filtering category. Select the option button, “Only display patients that have not been discharged.” Choosing this option will ensure that your patient list displays only patients who have not been discharged from the selected Medical Service. Click Finish. Lesson Four
Building Medical Service Patient Lists By selecting Cardiology in the Available Lists box and clicking the right center arrow, Cardiology was moved to the Active Lists box. Lesson Four
Building Medical Service Patient Lists After clicking OK to save changes and you will return to the Patient List. The new Patient List Tab is available for use. Lesson Four
