The training of child psychiatrist • 4 years child and adolecent psychiatry • 1 year on a adolecent/ child psychiatric ward • 2 years in a day clinic • 1 year in adult psychiatric ward • 6 months on a pediatric ward • Supervision • National courses and local education
Key elements • Videoconferences two hours every fortnight • 2-3 seminars a year, for all psysicians • Group supervision for all trainees • Annual opportunities to take part in national or international conferences • Annual gatherings of Child psychiatrists
Survey • 20 people responded, out of 30 • We requested their views as to the significance of various factors for the outcome of the project • We asked them to to consider factors important to their staying i child psychiatry in Northern Norway 2010 • 6 main factors
Opportunity to finish the entire training programme within the region
A network for all doctors in the child psychiatry in the region
It is possible to be a part of at professional network although you work alone in a remote area
Future • HelseNord has decided to make the project permanent • The University of Tromsø will continue to participate • Design?
