  4. Heat Exposure • Heat rash • Heat syncope • Heat cramps • Heat exhaustion • Heat stroke

  5. Know Signs and Symptoms • Heat rash - prickly heat - hot humid environments • Heat syncope - fainting • Heat cramps - tired muscles

  6. Serious • Heat exhaustion - fluid loss • Sweaty, fatigued, weak, experience vertigo, nausea, or headache. Skin clammy and body temperature normal or slightly elevated.

  7. Life Threatening • Heat Stroke - heat regulation system shuts down. • Hot dry skin, rapid pulse, no sweat, low blood pressure.

  8. Safety Issues • Heat Induced Accidents • Impaired grip strength due to sweat. • Dizziness • Safety glasses fogging • Burns from hot surfaces
