Aperture • An opening, usually circular, that limits the quantity of light that can enter an optical instrument Low High Good
Shutter Speed • The length of time that the light hits the film or sensor allowing the image to be recorded Low Good High
ISO Speed • How sensitive the image sensor which compared to light Good Low High
Exposure • Exposure is allowing the image capture device to be the image of the scene
White balance • The reason we adjust white balance is to get the colours in your images as accurate as possible • You turn it down when you are outside and up if you are inside Fluorescent Day Light

Optical Zoom • Allows you to zoom in to the picture without moving close to it Normal Full Zoom
Wide-angle, vs. Telephoto, vs. Portrait Lenses • A wide angle camera lens has a wider than normal view when taking pictures • A telephoto lens is much more zoomed in compared to other lenses • Portrait lenses have a bigger aperture compared to the other lenses Wide Telephoto Portrait
