  1. THE FUTURE…

  2. WASTE IS PILING UP

  3. Each year, the United States generates up to 230 million scrap tires.

  4. WATER IS RUNNING OUT

  5. Americans now use 127 percent more water than in 1950.

  6. Many people in the world exist on 3 gallons of water per day or less. We can use that amount in one flush of the toilet.

  7. Over a quarter of all the clean, drinkable water you use in your home is used to flush the toilets

  8. Buildings use a whopping 42% of America’s total energy each year, and a mind-boggling 72% of all electricity generated. That’s more than any other single sector of the economy

  9. Cheap oil is over.

  10. Building materials will cost more.

  11. Energy will cost more.

  12. This makes me sad…

  13. Americans have already solved the problem.

  14. Cheap energy is over. YES!

  15. Now we get to build the solutions.

  16. YAY! AMERICANS LOVE TO WORK!

  17. Energy can be cheap. It’s already free.

  20. THE EARTHSHIP

  21. The Way it Works BIOMIMICRY

  22. USES ALL ITS OWN WATER. Each drop of water gets used four times.

  23. The Earthship Mission THOREAU-ESQUE As a citizen of the earth... I fully have the right... to harvest water from the sky to grow my own food in my own home to harvest energy from the sun and the wind to contain and reuse my own waste on my own land to make my shelter comfortable without the use of fossil fuels and to harvest what others throw away to construct my own home I am willing to die to defend these rights and to spread the knowledge of how to achieve them to others. If six billion other people said this as well... we would transcend the corporations, the governments, and the federal reserve bank. We, the people, would always survive.

  24. Would you be interested in seeing one of these homes during a morning in the middle of the week on April 24th?

  25. Here’s an interesting video if you want to seemore:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=haiWcI5NJo8
