“This is an unusual view of Point O'Woods, South Lyme Ct. I have only seen it once before. The title is "In the Grove Point O'Woods Beach South Lyme Conn." It features the cottages at the beginning of Carrington Road. Notice the dirt road. It is an early card of the Carrington, Oak and Walnut section of the Point. Mailed with a one cent stamp and published by Auburn Co. “
1930 “Published by Foley's store, this is is an unusual scene of the beach area. It is titled "The Raft and Cottages On Beach Point O'Woods Beach South Lyme Conn."
“This a rare beach view of Point O'Woods, South Lyme CT before the hurricane destroyed the cottages on the beach. It was mailed from South Lyme in 1932. Great umbrella scene with wonderful graphics. It reminds one of a Molly Dee painting so I have kept it in my collection for over twenty years. I have not seen a similar view for sale. Published by J.Soloman, New London, CT.”
