2010 Feedback • The outcomes of the Project Q survey showed a further increase in student satisfaction relating to enrolment information and activities • 85% rated the information received prior to enrolment as very good or good; • 94% found online enrolment very easy or easy; • 88% rated school enrolment activities as very good or good.
Enrolment process • Registration and fee payment as in previous years; • Applicants will have received single username as part of applicant process and will have used it to apply for residences; • Email of ‘CAS number’ once student is unconditional and has accepted place; • Incoming Erasmus students will have had access to admissions portal; • Welcome to Cardiff flyer sent to new students; • Link to school enrolment web-page, direct from SIMS Student Home Page or from Web page; • School responsibility for programme and module information; • Module descriptions available to students through SIMS Online; • Schools responsible for closing down all pending new or registered new records by 21 October.
School Enrolment • Confirm URL to Registry for School Enrolment page by end July • Web page to include: • Timetable • Arrangements for module selection • Academic Advice • Ensure all diets signed off and module lists for study abroad students provided; • Dissemination of information within school.
Timetable • Friday 10 June: All diets to be signed off; • Friday 29 July: Deadline for late changes; • Monday 1 August: School enrolment web pages to be available; • 1-4 August: SIMS not available • w/c 1 August: First despatch of Welcome to Cardiff leaflets to unconditional applicants • w/c 1 August: schools to ensure any pending Stage one programme transfers have been actioned; • w/c 8 August: Enrolment information sent to returners and new students with unconditional offers; • w/c 22 August: Enrolment information sent to new students, who applied through UCAS; • w/c 12 September: Enrolment information sent to re-sitting students
Timetable (cont) • w/c 26 September: Enrolment week; • 3 -14 October: Schools to chase any students who have not completed registration; • 17-21 October: Schools to process ‘no shows’ (PN and RN) using failure to engage; • 21 October: Access to request changes to modules or start of year programme transfers withdrawn.
