  2. 2 Peter 2:1-3 1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.

  25. Conclusion • We must be as those in Berea • Acts 17:11 • We must act by only the authority of God’s word • Matthew 21:23-27; Colossians 3:17 • We must speak the oracles of God • 1 Peter 4:11 • We must speak only sound doctrine • Titus 2:1; 2 Timothy 4:1-4

Conclusion “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear” - 1 Peter 3:15 “Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men” - Acts 5:29
