2. What is Link Governor? • An On-Line secure web service which: • allows training organisations (eg LEAs, Dioceses) to readily place and manage their school governor training events on the internet at any time, day or night • enables schools and link governors to conveniently manage their governor training, book or cancel a place at an event, view attendance, and book an event for those governors who do not have access to the internet • gives school governors, clerks, and staff immediate web access to their schools’ authorised training provider’s training events with the opportunity to book and manage those events on-line

3. How does it work? • Training Organisations are allocated a user name and password and then enter their events, venues, trainers online through simple on-line forms. • Training Organisations also enter their participating schools online through a simple form and the system notifies the school and allocates them a user name and password • Schools (or link governors) maintain their details and governor list and the system then allocates each named governor a user name and password • Each governor (or school/link governor on behalf of those not connected to the interent) is then able to maintain his or her details and to book and cancel their events on-line • Relevant reporting information is immediately available to the training organisation, school/link governor, and governor – both historic and future data

Features for Training Organisations – LEAs, Dioceses etc • Templated options for easy entry of events onto website • 24/7 reporting with capacity for administrator to work from any internet enabled PC – at home or office! • Automatic notification when an event is full/nearly full • Automatic e-mail to course attendees/schools/trainer in the event of cancellation or amendment of information • Information as to location including interactive map • School-maintained list of governors always available and up to date • Improved attendance and interest from governors who receive e-mail reminders of forthcoming events for which they have made reservations • Simple software tool which allows visitors to your own website to see the events placed on LinkGovernor (if required)

Features for Schools and Governors • Each governor is able to make a reservation at an event on his/her own behalf • Each governor is able to cancel a reservation at an event on his/her own behalf • Full reporting system on historic attendances and future planned attendances • Optional E-Mail reminders to jog the memory of forthcoming booked events • Easy browsing at any time of forthcoming events • Simple log-in and password system • School or link governor is able to log in on behalf of any other governor in the school and manage events on their behalf.
