3. MUNDANOS -- POR LOS DESEOS 1 Juan 2:16, “deseos (pasión) de la carne, deseos (pasión) de los ojos” Eva engañada, Gén 3:6; 1 Tim 2:14. • WORLDLY - BECAUSE OF DE-SIRES. 1 John 2:16 “lust of flesh, lust of eyes”. Eve deceived, Gen. 3:16; 1 Tim. 2:14.

4. SANTOS – POR DESEOS BUENOS Prov 11:23 “El deseo de los justos es solamente el bien”; conocer; obedecer; comunión; ir al cielo. • SAINTS – BECAUSE OF GOOD DESIRES. Prov 11:23 “The desire of the righteous is only good”; know; obey; fellowship; heaven.

5. Dios quiere que tengamos el DESEO de servirle, que no seamos confundidos y engañados por Satanás a través de los deseos. • God wants us to have the DESIRE to serve Him, that we not be con-fused and deceived by Satan by means of our desires.

6. Ex 35:21 “todo aquel a quien su corazón estimuló (impulsó) trajo ofrenda … aquellos de corazón generoso”. • Ex 35:21 “Everyone whose heart stirred him and everyone whose spirit moved him came and brought the LORD'S contribution.”

7. 1 Crón. 28:9 “sírvele de todo cora-zón y con ánimo dispuesto; porque el Señor escudriña todos los corazones .. todo intento …” • 1 Chron. 28:9, “serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands every intent.”

8. 2 Cor 9:7 “Cada uno dé como propuso en su corazón: no con tristeza, ni por necesidad, porque Dios ama al dador alegre”. • 2 Cor 9:7 “So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.”

9. DESEAR CONOCIMIENTO. No hay nada que se pueda comparar con la bendición de entender la voluntad de Dios. Es DESEABLE. • DESIRE KNOWLEDGE. There is nothing that can compare with the blessing of understanding the will of God. It is DESIREABLE.

10. Prov. 3:14, “su ganancia es mejor que plata .. oro .. joyas, y nada de lo que deseas se compara con ella .. larga vida en su mano derecha”. • Prov 3:14 “her profit is better than silver..gold..rubies, and all the things you may desire cannot compare with her .. long life is in her right hand.”

11. Prov 8:10,11 “Recibid mi instruc-ción y no plata, oro, joyas; todas las cosas deseables no pueden compararse con ella”. • Prov. 8:10, 11 “Receive my instruc-tion and not silver, gold, rubies; all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her (wisdom).”

12. 1 Ped 1:10-12 “profetas inquirieron e indagaron procurando saber …cosas a las cuales los ángeles anhelan mirar”. • 1 Pet 1:10-12 “prophets made careful searches and inquiries …things which angels desire to look into.”

13. Hech 8:28-31 “sentado en su carro, y leyendo al profeta Isaías ¿Entien-des lo que lees? ¿Cómo podré si alguno no me enseñare?” • Acts 8:28-31 “sitting in his chariot, he was reading Isaiah the prophet. Do you understand what you are reading? How can I, unless someone guides me?"

14. Efes 5:16 “aprovechando bien el tiempo” – Leer Biblia en sala de espera. Oír Biblia (casetes), cocina, taller, carro. Recuerde el eunuco. • Eph 5:16 “making the most of your time” – Read Bible, waiting room. Hear Bible (tapes) kitchen, car, shop. Remember the eunuch.

15. 1 Ped 2:2 “desead (anhelar), como niños recién nacidos, la leche espiritual no adulterada, para que por ella crezcáis para salvación”. • 1 Pet 2:2 “as newborn babes, desire (long for) the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby.”

16. Mat. 5:6 “Bienaventurados los que tienen hambre y sed de justicia, porque ellos serán saciados.” ¿Te-nemos hambre, sed de justicia? • Matt 5:6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteous-ness, For they shall be filled.” Do we have such hunger, thirst?

17. DESEAR OBEDECER. Hech 8:36 “llegaron a cierta agua, y dijo el eunuco: Aquí hay agua; ¿qué impide que yo sea bautizado?” • DESIRE TO OBEY. Acts 8:36, “they came to some water. And the eunuch said, "See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?"

18. 2 Cor 7:11 “¡qué solicitud produjo en vosotros, qué defensa, qué indignación, qué temor, qué ardiente afecto, qué celo …!” • 2 Cor. 7:11 “What eagerness it produced in you, what clearing of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what longing .. whatzeal.”

19. DESEAR COMUNIÓN. Adorar, trabajar, sufrir juntos. Muchos se apartan por no tener relación estrecha con otros miembros. • DESIRE FELLOWSHIP. Worship, work, suffer together. Many leave for lack of having a close relation-ship with other members.

20. Tres palabras: agapao – amor, buena voluntad; phileo – afecto, cariño, amor de familia; epipotheo, anhelar, añorar. • Three words: agapao – love, good will; phileo – affection, fondness, love of family; epipotheo, to long for, to yearn for.

21. Filipenses 1:8, “Porque Dios me es testigo de cuánto os añoro (epipotheo) a todos con el entrañable amor de Cristo Jesús.” • Phil. 1:8, “For God is my witness, how greatly I long for you all (epipotheo) with the affection of Jesus Christ.”

22. 2 Cor 9:14 “mediante la oración a vuestro favor, demuestran su anhelo por vosotros (por) la gracia de Dios en vosotros” • 2 Cor 9:14 “and by their prayer for you, who long for you because of the exceeding grace of God in you.”

23. Fil 2:26 Epafrodito “os añoraba a todos vosotros y estaba angus-tiado porque habíais oído que se había enfermado”. • Phil 2:26 Epaphroditus “was longing for you all, and was distressed because you had heard that he was sick.”

24. 1 Tes 3:6 Timoteo “nos ha traído buenas noticias .. fe, amor, de que siempre tenéis buen recuerdo de nosotros, añorando vernos, como también nosotros a vosotros”. • 1 Thess 3:6 Timothy “brought us good news of your faith and love, and that you always think kindly of us, longing to see us just as we also long to see you”

25. DESEAR SALVAR ALMAS. 2 Cor. 12:15 “Y yo muy gustosamente gastaré lo mío, y aun yo mismo me gastaré por vuestras almas”. • DESIRE TO SAVE SOULS. 2 Cor. 12:15, “And I will very gladly spend and be spent for your souls.”

26. Fil 2:17 “aunque yo sea derramado como libación sobre el sacrificio y servicio de vuestra fe, me regocijo y comparto mi gozo con vosotros”. • Phil 2:17 “even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you.”

27. DESEAR IR AL CIELO. 2 Cor 5:2“Pues, en verdad, en esta morada gemimos, anhelando ser vestidos con nuestra habitación celestial”. • DESIRE TO GO TO HEAVEN. 2 Cor 5:2 “For indeed in this house we groan, longing to be clothed with our dwelling from heaven.”

28. Heb 11:16 “Pero en realidad, anhelan (aspiran) una patria mejor, es decir, celestial”. Orego – exten-derse hacia algo, como en carrera. • Heb 11:16 “But they desire a better country, that is a heavenly one.” Orego – stretching forward as in running a race.

29. Fil 3:13 “extendiéndome a lo que está delante”. “El ojo se adelanta y tira de la mano, la mano va adelante, y tira de los pies” (Vine). • Phil 3:13 “stretching forward to what is before.” “The eye goes forward and draws the hand, the hand goes forward and draws the feet” (Vine’s Expository Dict.).

30. De otro modo, confundido y enga-ñado por los DESEOS … usado por Satanás, porque los DESEOS VENCEN la razón, voluntad! • Otherwise, confused and deceived by DESIRES … used by Satan, because DESIRES OVERCOME the reason and the will!

31. Conclusión. DESEAR conocimiento obediencia, comunión y servicio, ir al cielo. 2 Cor 8:11 “buena voluntad para desearlo,LLEVARLO A CABO” • Conclusion. DESIRE knowledge, obedience, fellowship and service, go to heaven. 2 Cor. 8:11 “readi-ness to desire it, FINISH DOING IT”
