8 Common Reasons For Pressure Gauge Failure

If the pressure system is exposed to a medium with a high frequency of changes, the pointer on the Oil Pressure Gauges may fluctuate erratically, causing the pressure to spike intermittently and finally wear out the internal mechanisms. One solution is to install a restrictor or pressure snubber, which reduces the speed of the media by reducing the size of the intake orifice and therefore eliminates pressure variations.
