  5. Travis DeVaultis a student who is studying Ecology.

  6. Travis likes to observe vultures. Vultures like to eat dead stuff. Travis likes dead stuff?

  7. So… as Travis studied and recorded observations in his notebook, he began to WONDER…??? “Do other animals like to eat dead stuff?”

  8. Travis formed his hypothesis • “I think that ifI put out dead rats as bait, thenI will find that several species that we don’t know are ‘scavengers’ will feed on the bait.”

  9. Travis set up his EXPERIMENT to test his experiment

  10. Science is a process……a “special method”… …and by using that method one ? leads to the next ?
