Scenarios and problem statement • PDF (Portable Document Format) is the ISO 32000 standard for electronic document exchange first popularized by Adobe Systems, Inc. in 1992. • An ecosystem of vendors have created tools for the creation of PDF files, and the format widely is used for publishing, archiving, and electronic forms solutions world-wide. • Businesses are facing increased incidents of lost or stolen company information and must mitigate risk • It has been estimated that 40% of electronic enterprise documents are in PDF format.

  8. Foxit PDF Security Suite product architecture • Both Foxit Security Suite Reader and Protector are installed on client side. To use Foxit Security Suite, users do not need to install any software on the server side. • Foxit Security Suite SharePoint extensions need to be installed on SharePoint server, and the server will be able to automatically protect PDF after the SharePoint extensions installed.

  9. Foxit PDF Security Suite product architecture • Uses standard PDF document structure as per the ISO 32000 standard • No proprietary document wrapper used • Policy certificates and encryption following AD RMS standards (RSA 1024 bits, AES 128 bits and XrML certificates)

Foxit PDF Security Suite licensing information • The Foxit PDF Secure Reader allows an individual to view RMS protected PDF documents as well as standard unprotected PDF documents and is available at no cost for download at www.foxitsoftware.com • Foxit’s PDF Secure Protector for Windows and PDF Secure Protector for SharePoint licensing models are available on either a per seat (user) or per processor basis.
