IL PROGETTO LHC COMPUTING GRID

The LHC Computing Grid project aims to prepare, deploy, and operate a distributed computing infrastructure for managing and analyzing data from the LHC experiments. Grid Technology in LCG This area of the project is concerned with • ensuring that the LCG requirements are known to current and potential Grid projects • active lobbying for suitable solutions – influencing plans and priorities • negotiating support for tools developed by Grid projects • developing a plan to supply solutions that do not emerge from other sources • BUT this must be done with caution – important to avoid HEP-SPECIAL solutions Les RobertsonLHCC 2-10-02
