A Puzzle is a set of interlocking pieces that only fit together in one specific way in order to create a picture or image.
The shape of each piece and/or how the lock together is up to the person designing the puzzle
What YOU will make… • You will roll out a slab and on that slab you will recreate a famous piece of artwork • You will chose from one of the selections provided • The design will be a “relief” design • This means that the slab is just the background. The people or objects in your design must be added to the top of the slab- making it 3D • See the example below….
How to do it… • Roll a slab that is 9” by 11” or larger. • Pick a famous painting from the list. • Slip and score the designs onto your slap • Carve into the background to add depth. • Use as much texture as possible! • Once finished, cut the design into puzzle pieces with an exacto knife. (There should be a minimum of 9 pieces)
