I observed the Laughing Gull or scientifically known as Leucophaeus Atricilla. • I Observed the Laughing Gull on August 4th from 1:30 to 2 o’clock. the first one I was observing flew away so I had to examine a new one. • I observed it at Outer Banks North Carolina. • The habitat that it was in when I was observing it was the grassy area behind the sand dunes and on the sand.

The Laughing Gull has spotted something in the sand is it food?
In conclusion • It was fun observing an animal I didn’t know very much about. The Laughing Gull is certainly an interesting animal. I learned that Laughing Gulls are very territorial. They are also easily frightened (that I learned the hard way). It stuck its beak in the sand but didn’t get any thing so I didn’t find out what they ate or what gender it was. I learned while photographing wild life be very quite. The experience over all was definitely fun.
