Completion Date (actual or estimated) Entire project Work for which Firm was/is responsible Old Dominion University Hampton Boulevard Norfolk, VA, 23529 Renovation of Whitehurst Hall Dormitory, Norfolk, VA Fire protection engineering and consulting 2005 $20,000 15% Provide fire protection engineering services for design of fire sprinkler system as a part of renovation of the Whitehurst Hall at the OldDominion University. The building is a six (6) story without basement, 112,000 gross square feet existing dormitory. Pre-design phase services include review of drawings of existing conditions, conducting field investigation to identify conditions effecting sprinkler system design, including evaluation of an existing fire pump as pertains to pump capacity and pressure, for possible reuse of replacement, and providing report of findings and issues. Design phase includes preparation of hydraulic design calculations for the fire sprinkler systems and design of sprinkler systems. Bid and Award phase includes providing response to bidders’ questions pertaining to Systech’s design. Construction Period services include providing response to contractor’s RFI, review of contractor’s submittal, and site visits to observe progress of construction.
