Transformed Part 1 “Satisfied” How to Grow and Change
Satisfied because your soul’s deepest craving is for God As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God. Psalm 42:1 (ESV)
Satisfied because eternal life is a relationship with God And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. John 17:3
Satisfied Because God Has Become Your Sole Passion that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, Philippians 3:10
Satisfied Because God is Enough Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery that was kept secret for long ages but has now been disclosed and through the prophetic writings has been made known to all nations, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith— to the only wise God be glory forevermore through Jesus Christ! Amen. Romans 16:25-27
Is Christ YOUR Ultimate Satisfaction? The foundational truth this morning is that God alone truly satisfies the human soul. David put it this way,“As the deer pants for the waters, so my soul longs after you.” Paul wrote, “That I may know Him and His resurrection power.” The strongest desire of the redeemed heart is an ever growing thirst for more of God, yet many have sought to quench this desire with lesser desires and find themselves unsatisfied and dry. Even in our churches we find individuals that are busy doing the acts of religion, but they miss the heart of Christianity which is a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Is Christ YOUR Ultimate Satisfaction? How about you this morning? Are you pursuing a vibrant, intimate, daily relationship with your Savior Jesus Christ? Are you finding Him satisfying to your soul?
