SS7 Conversion • Install SS7 Software at Fargo and Bismarck Tandem Switching Centers • Redesign Approximately 260 Circuits for SS7 Operation (convert from MF Signaling) • Local Exchange Company (LEC) Qwest 30% requiring component changes, scheduled for cut over in mid April • Independent Local Exchange Company (ILEC) • Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) • Cutover and Test During Maintenance Window

Wireless E9-1-1 Network 9-1-1 ESRK + Voice Qwest 9-1-1 Selective Router Call Sequence 1) Cell phone dials 9-1-1 2) MSC sends cell site, sector, and MIN to SCP 3) SCP assigns an ESRK and sends to MSC 4) MSC sends voice and ESRK to Selective Router 5) Selective Router determines PSAP and sends ESRK and voice; at the same time, SCP delivers MIN, cell site, sector, and ESRK to ALI host 6) PSAP controller requests ALI bid with ESRK received from Selective Router 7) ALI record delivered to PSAP ESRK + Voice MSC EMTrunks. PSAP Voice Trunks. CAMA Trunks. Trunks assigned to a DS1 Facility. Public Safety Answering Position Cell Site + MIN Data Links. Data Connection from PSAP Controller to ALI data base ( 2 per PSAP).
