What is RutDel? Modified Delphi Technique Set to obtain the most reliable consensus of opinion among a group of experts Characteristics Iteration Controlled feedback Statistical aggregation Desired outcome Predict what a well coordinated audit may look like in approximately 5 to 10 years Participants A total of 8 participants Rutgers Business School
Process Brainstorming session Two smaller groups Each group has identical questions & individuals in a group have different questions i.e. Audit process (ways to change the way we audit e.g. create automatic confirmations through database to database) Questions are passed around and thoughts expanded from the prior Group ranks questions/ideas Discuss Rutgers Business School
Process (2) Questionnaire session Two rounds First round is unstructured Participant to rank 12 questions, each currently and in 10 years from now Results are tabulated and discussed by the group Second round asks the same 12 questions and participants are free to change rankings based on group discussion Results are tabulated with the intention of a smaller range of ranks Timely questions Participants to suggest most important questions to discuss during next session Rutgers Business School
Results Mostly all ranges minimized The questions which experienced an increased range will be further investigated Confusion among group in interpreting the question either before or after group discussion Rutgers Business School
Conclusion Overall success Website The Future of Audit Intend to re-perform the technique at least annually Rutgers Business School
