Discussion: Essential Questions • Moral Compass • “The ends justify the means” is a phrase encompassing two beliefs: • Morally wrong actions are sometimes necessary to achieve morally right outcomes. • Actions can only be considered morally right or wrong by virtue of the morality of the outcome. • Do the Moral Compass Activity • decide whether you agree or disagree that “the ends justify the means” in each scenario • Be prepared to discuss your opinions
