  2. الْجُمْلَةُ الاِسْمِيَّةُ The Nominal Sentence The nominal sentence begins with a subject (مُبْتَدَأٌ), which is definite, and has a predicate (خَبَرٌ), which is indefinite. Read and translate, then identify the subject and predicate: Arabic Language MCMC 2007

  3. Comparison between الْجُمْلَةُ الاسْمِيَّةُ & المُنْعُوتُ والنَّعْتُ النعت agrees with المنعوت in gender and definiteness. الخبر agrees with المبتدأ only in gender, not definiteness. Which of the following are مبتدأ وخبرand which are منعوت ونعت? Translate.

  6. الضَّمِيرُ الْمُتَّصِلُ The Attached Personal Pronoun These pronouns are attached to nouns and show possession. E.g. Note: when the pronoun is attached, the Tanwin is dropped. Also ة becomes a تbefore an attached pronoun.

  8. Pronouns attached to أَبٌandأَخٌ The words أَبٌ & أَخٌ take an extra و when a pronoun is attached. However, ي“my” is always preceded by a kasrah. Translate into Arabic:
