New Scale
We can’t compare the scores under the old system to the scores under the new system! EXPECT the numerical value for both the school and district to be lower than in past years! So what does this mean for our schools and district? (Scale 100-140) District Score 2011 – 100 Elementary Average Score – 104 Middle School Average Score – 103 High School Average Score - 91
What other changes will impact school and student scores? New Standards in ELA and Mathematics means increased rigor of content and a more difficult test in these areas. The cut scores identifying what it takes to be Proficient and Distinguished have changed and are much harder to achieve in an effort to match the rise in expectations.
We can’t compare student scores under the old system to their scores under the new system in MATH & ELA! So what does this mean for your student’s scores?
