Membership Committee • Net increase in membership in 2007 • May ’06 – 280 members • May ’07 – 304 members, 46 new members • May ’08 – 274 members, 26 new members • 56 members not yet renewed for 2008 • Email and calling campaign to complete renewals and welcome new members • Membership survey is out – please complete

  3. Certifications Committee • CTP courses / exams were in DFW 2007 • Need minimum 16 CONFIRMED participants to schedule courses / exams in DFW area • Boot Camp participation and new memberships in 2007 / 2008 suggest potential need for DFW schedule • Interested CTP candidates contact Paul Ossa, ossajp@yahoo.com

  4. University Relations Committee • Two TCU students entered Carl Marks Competition • Brad Bennett and Anna Kruhavets • Expect to continue in-roads at TCU and UTD • No planned programs during summer

  5. Additional Committees to nurture growth • Young Professionals • Women’s Networking • Community Service • Committees and committee members are listed on the web site under “About TMA”

  6. Programs Committee • Annual Boot Camp • All Day Workshop • Working to ensure programs qualify for CLE and / or CPE • Experimented with 50 / 50 monthly meetings – programs vs. pure networking

  7. All Day Restructuring Workshop • September 10, 2008 • Belo Mansion & The Pavilion at the Belo Mansion • Bankruptcy panel discussions • Debtor Topics • Creditor Topics • Panel on Funds / Lending Perspective • Main Panel discussion on Credit Crunch

Public Relations Committee • Working to get more DFW news and articles into both the local media and the Journal of Corporate Renewal • Working with TMA to identify and train DFW media contacts for the TMA • Working with other committees and webmaster to better publicize and promote TMA – DFW news and events.

  9. Public Relations Committee • Dallas Business Journal Insert fall of 2008 • Insert articles will address: • Business Checkup • Characteristics of well run companies • Stages / signs of problem companies • Diagnoses and Treatments

Updating Your Profile to Benefit from New Search Engine • Get familiar with broad industries and occupations in top line menu “Memberships” • TMA built these keyword lists from analysis of profiles • Keyword lists will be periodically updated, so do not limit yourself to the list • Watch your spelling
