Information about the chateau • When was the châteatu built? 1560 • For whom was the châteatu built? Eudes II,Count of Blois • For what reason was the châteatu built? In the 10th century with the purpose of serving as a fortress to protect Blois from attacks.
Three unique features of the château • 1. Festival International des Jardins de Chaumont-sur-Loire • 2. English- Style Garden • 3. Château de Chaumont is currently a museum and every year hosts a Garden Festival from June to October
Four Important events: • 1. The castle was burned to the ground in 1465 in accordance with Louis XI's orders • 2. Rebuilt by Charles I d'Amboise from 1465-1475 and his son, Charles II d'Amboise de Chaumont from 1498-1510, finished Chaumont with help from his uncle, Georges d'Amboise. • 3. Madame de Stael later acquired the Castle in 1810 and then Marie-Charlotte Say, heiress to the Say Sugar Fortune, acquired Chaumont in 1875. • 4. Château Chaumont was later purchased by Catherine de Medici in 1560.
My opinion of the château • I like Chaumont it is abeautiful château. It has an amazing garden which hosts festivals. I would love to live in this château because it is pretty.

Personal interest 1 • The chateau was beautiful and if I was rich I would love to someday live in this amazing home.
Personal interest 2 • The most interesting fact about the chateau was that it was owned by so many different people. It has so much life and tradition in the castle.
