Opinion statements • Now we will practice writing opinion statements for each of the three body paragraphs.
Thesis statement • A thesis statement is an opinion statement. The thesis statement will be written in your introduction. • Thesis statement examples: Example 1: The September 11th attacks had devastating impacts on the public’s vulnerability, including every individual’s sense of safety and security. Example 2: The attacks taking place on September 11 affected ________________ due to the fact that _________. A/B Partners will now write a thesis statement together. Finally, write your own thesis statement. Write it on the top of your tree map.
