What are the one to two top unknowns in each Center’s EM activities? • Six Centers remarked on the lack of data or information concerning trophic dynamics, pathways, and/or linkage strengths • Five Centers remarked on the lack of data on spatial, temporal, and inter-system dynamics and variability. • Four Centers remarked on the lack of data on abundance, distribution and roles of non-target species. • Four Centers remarked on the lack of clear underlying questions, plans, and goals.

What are the one to two top unknowns in each Center’s EM activities? • Three Centers remarked on the lack of data on environmental forcing on recruitment dynamics and other population processes. • Three Centers remarked on the lack of data in population connectivity, larval dispersal, and stock structure. • Two Centers remarked on the issue of knowledge gaps created by spatial and temporal limitations of sampling inherent to research in an LME • Two Centers remarked on the uncertainty of the current funding environment
