  2. SOR/SR REF:-11BRD/PR/MiG 23/14NM/06-11 OPERATING CONDITIONS :- VOLTAGE – 27VDC & 115 VAC, 400 Hz. FUNCTION:- IT COMPARES THE FREQUENCY OF RF SIGNAL REFLECTED FROM GROUND WITH A PART OF SIGNAL SUPPLIED TO RECEIVER DIRECTLY FROM THE TRANSMITTER. THE DIFFERENCE FREQUENCY SIGNAL SO PRODUCED IS AMPLIFIED AND APPLIED TO MEASURING UNIT. EFFECT OF FAILURE :- PP-4A TRANSRECEIVER WILL FAIL AND ALTITUDE OF AC FROM SURFACE CANNOT BE OBTAINED.
