RavelGuard Contract Carpets Guaranteed Against Raveling Tri-Bond Backing System • Barrett’s TriBond backing system • combines 3 adhesive applications • with a 3 stage coater to prevent raveling. • The first adhesive is specially • formulated to penetrate each yarn • bundle, for both tuft bind and ravel • resistance. • The secondary adhesive is • formulated for maximum lamination • strength, to permanently adhere the • secondary backing to the carpet. • The third adhesive reinforces the • carpet edges, for extra ravel • protection. Ordinary Loop Carpet Ordinary loop pile is tufted in parallel rows Barrett RavelGuard Carpet RavelGuard tufts are staggered in a special crossover pattern This placement does nothing to prevent raveling or continuous pile runners. When a tuft is pulled up, it locks with its neighbors. So one tuft can’t pull into an unsightly continuous ravel. Benefits: Minimizes pattern distortion, guards against delamination and unraveling, provides superior seams
