INTERNATIONAL INNER WHEEL IS • One of the largest women's voluntary service organisations in the world. • The way to link together members all around the world, on every continent. • Not sectarianor party political, BUT devoted solely to help others and to offer friendship, support and sharing .   8. MISSION , VISION & VALUES Vision, Mission and Values are powerful tools for defining and guiding IIW’s ability to live and shape the present, bridging the future. IW e-TRAINING - 1st COURSE - MODULE no. 1

  9. VISION The Inner Wheel Vision wants an Association for Women, modern, active and dynamic; a global network of members, who, voluntarily, donate commitment and love for others. IW e-TRAINING - 1st COURSE - MODULE no. 1

  13. INNER WHEEL AT UN International Inner Wheel is an NGO, part of the ECOSOC Roster. It has six Representatives at the UN. The Representatives of Inner Wheel at the UN are usually coordinated every year by the current International Vice President. IW e-TRAINING - 1st COURSE - MODULE no. 1

GENEVA: CHRISTIANE NICOLE, ROSWITA GINGLAS-POULETVIENNA: CEJA GREGOR HU, ULRIKE NEMLINGNEW YORK: Martine Gayon DELORES BURGESS The IW Representatives at UN follow and assist the business sessions of the commissions regarding important themes as: Human Rights, Rights of the Children, status of Women, the Family, the Elderly, the Drugs. They report to the International Vice President on the activities of the Committees and Conferences, are the official link with UNO, and in turn must report to UNO about the initiatives promoted by Inner Wheel. Copies of the annual reports of the National Representatives are sent to our Representatives at UN, for information and knowledge. IW e-TRAINING - 1st COURSE - MODULE no. 1

  16. ADMINISTRATION THE HEART OF IIW «ADMINISTRATION» IS THE INTERNATIONAL GOVERNING BODY IW e-TRAINING - 1st COURSE - MODULE no. 1

  17. International innerwheelgoverning body The International Governing Body consists of the Officers and the Board Directors. IW e-TRAINING - 1st COURSE - MODULE no. 1

  19. IMPORTANT COMMITTEES • Executive Committee, that consists of the President, Vice President, Immediate Past President, Treasurer and Constitution Chairman. The Executive Committee shall have the overall management of the day-to-day affairs and funds of International Inner Wheel on behalf of the International Constitution Committee • The Constitution Committee shall consist of the Constitution Chairman, the President and Vice President.   20. Structure OF iiw In the Constitution are established the principal Bodies of International Inner Wheel and the ways of membership. IW e-TRAINING - 1st COURSE - MODULE no. 1

  21. INNER WHEEL AS A SYSTEM: INTERCONNECTION AND INTERACTION The Inner Wheel is a SYSTEM consisting of different Bodies and Levels, connected and interacting with each other, and with the external environment. IW e-TRAINING - 1st COURSE - MODULE no. 1

  22. THE THREE POSSIBLE STRUCTURES IW e-TRAINING - 1st COURSE - MODULE no. 1

  23. The Club is the basic FOUNDATION STONE of the Inner Wheel ORGANISATION . IW e-TRAINING - 1st COURSE - MODULE no. 1

  24. ALL IW CLUBS ARE PART OF IIW • Includes all Inner Wheel Clubs. • The minimum number of Active Members required to form a Club is 12. A member may belong to one Club only. IW e-TRAINING - 1st COURSE - MODULE no. 1

  25. THE MEMBERS Members meet regularly, work together, make new friends, spend moments of leisure, organize cultural activities. IW e-TRAINING - 1st COURSE - MODULE no. 1

  26. 2 KINDS OF CLUB Clubs organized in Districts (Districted Clubs). 2. Clubs not organized in Districts (Non Districted Clubs). IIW has jurisdiction over them, directly. And Non Districted Clubs correspond directly with International Inner Wheel, through an international officer, generally the Vice President . IW e-TRAINING - 1st COURSE - MODULE no. 1

  27. CLUB EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE The Executive Committee administers the ordinary current affairs of the Club and carries out the decisions of the Meetings. IW e-TRAINING - 1st COURSE - MODULE no. 1

  28. CLUB EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE PRESIDENT VICE PRESIDENT OR VICE PRESIDENTS - IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT SECRETARY OR SECRETARY/TREASURER - TREASURER OTHER MEMBERS: CLUB CORRESPONDENT - INTERNATIONAL SERVICE ORGANISER NOT MORE THAN 6 OTHER MEMBERS. IW e-TRAINING - 1st COURSE - MODULE no. 1

  29. THE District The District is a geographical area in which Clubs are grouped according to administrative duties of the International Inner Wheel. IW e-TRAINING - 1st COURSE - MODULE no. 1

  30. DISTRICT LEVEL • Each District includes all the Clubs within its boundaries. • The minimum number of Clubs required to form a District is 4. IW e-TRAINING - 1st COURSE - MODULE no. 1

  31. Districtcommittee THE DISTRICT COMMITTEE IS THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE DISTRICT IW e-TRAINING - 1st COURSE - MODULE no. 1

DISTRICT GOVERNING BODY CHAIRMAN VICE CHAIRMAN OR VICE CHAIRMEN - IMMEDIATE PAST CHAIRMAN SECRETARY - TREASURER EX-OFFICIO MEMBERS WITH POWER TO VOTE: EXTENSION CHAIRMAN OR ORGANISER (if elected) INTERNATIONAL SERVICE CHAIRMAN OR ORGANISER - EDITOR 2 VOTING DELEGATES FROM EACH CLUB IW e-TRAINING - 1st COURSE - MODULE no. 1

  33. NATIONAL GOVERNING BODY IT IS THE HEART OF THE “ADMINISTRATION” IN A COUNTRY IW e-TRAINING - 1st COURSE - MODULE no. 1

  34. NATIONAL LEVEL • Includes all the Districts and Clubs within its boundaries. • The minimum number of Districts required to form a National Governing Body is 2 IW e-TRAINING - 1st COURSE - MODULE no. 1

  35. NATIONAL GOVERNING BODY OR ASSOCIATION At national level there are two possible forms of Governing Body: the Association OR the National Council, which are two different structures - quitesimilar - for the same mission IW e-TRAINING - 1st COURSE - MODULE no. 1

NATIONAL GOVERNING BODIES: ASSOCIATION OR NATIONAL COUNCIL NATIONAL PRESIDENT VICE PRESIDENT - IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT SECRETARY - TREASURER - EDITOR A NATIONAL REPRESENTATIVE OR COMMUNICATION COORDINATOR (as liaison between the Clubs, Districts and National Governing Body) CHAIRMAN CONSTITUTION COMMITTEE (if elected) CHAIRMAN OVERSEAS/INTERNATIONAL SERVICE COMMITTEE (if elected) ONE MEMBER FROM EACH DISTRICT COMMITTEE (MEMBER OF COUNCIL) IW e-TRAINING - 1st COURSE - MODULE no. 1
