SITE 5m x 5m section
FOOTINGS Reinforcement required in concrete footings Footing once concrete is poured
COLUMN Aluminium cladding applied to the concrete column with adhesive and which also act as solar buffers Column attached to pad footing lined with reinforcement
FIRST FLOOR Concrete slab poured on bondek and is left to set and cure over a period of time, optimal of 28 days Bondek acting as formwork for first floor slab is laid out, supports are also required to be left in place while concrete is still wet
WALLS Aluminium window frame welded to steel frame along with flashings to prevent moisture seepage into the building Steel framing lining edge of building, bolted into concrete and welded to aluminium cladded column to give extra rigidity
FLOORING Timber flooring is applied over slab
CLADDING Plaster lining internal walling to provide coverage of the insulated framework Steel cladding is connected to frame and column by bolts along with the use of welding which cover the floor levels and roofing
ROOFING C – Purlins placed on steel lining which also acts as a ceiling for first floor Sarking or a Flashing is added over purlins to prevent moisture seeping into the building
ROOFING Roof Cladding of steel is bolted upon purlins and sarking along with steel sheets lining edges to allow water to flow into box gutter Box Gutter welded to both steel cladding and steel ceiling lining
CEILING The ceiling is made up of strips of metal being suspended from either the bondek or steel linings
CONNECTIONS Bolts also give extra rigidity to roof cladding along with the use of welding Bolts also act as a connection between the slabs and roofing to the wall frames
DETAIL My overall detail by where I have tried mimic fosters fetish of glass, steel and aluminium while also have components of concrete is demonstrated on both left and right. The extravagant roofing was inspired by differing means of addressing the peak of buildings by foster along with the use of suspending the ceiling
