The Asian Trends in the World of Laminate Flooring Every self-respecting manufacturer tries to improve their product. Experiments are carried out in all areas of production of the laminate, and every detail is important - the thickness of the panel, the method of attachment, changes in construction or material. When the laminate has just appeared, only wood-based decors were present on the market, mostly imitating parquet, hence the term "laminated parquet" (although it is more correct to say "laminated flooring" or simply "laminate"). Began to appear "fantasy" decors, and the palette of wood (natural) significantly expanded. Last few years, the distribution received decorations, imitating ceramic tiles. There is also a clear trend towards darker colors or quite light ones. As for the structure of the laminate surface, the market here has a lot and fruitfully experiments. Some decors look good on a smooth surface, others - on a rougher (rustic) surface. A different surface structure should be in wood decoration and in a decor that looks like ceramic tiles. Especially today, the market demand for rustic structures. Selected varieties of wood (select) - in the past, in natural fashion surfaces. Initially, when the laminate had just appeared, there was no chamfer. Then they introduced an additional element, which is designed to emphasize the beauty of the wood board itself ... The chamfer (cut along the edge of the floorboard) adorns the laminate, giving it more natural. However, the attitude of the consumer to the facet is ambiguous. Some believe that it is more difficult to take care of such a laminate, but this is just a prejudice. Nevertheless, to meet the consumer (more precisely, his "mythologized" consciousness), producers began to offer a traced chamfer. Traditional laminated coatings were glued. Today, the market has established the lock connections. There are single-roller, two-clack, and three-click systems. It is believed that the "composite" laminate is good not only for the simplicity of laying, but also for the ability to easily replace part of the coating, if necessary. Glue in these cases can be used, but not to keep the lock, but to strengthen the resistance to moisture. Another direction in which the market developed was the width of the panels. At first, there was a standard width of 192 mm. However, for the last few years, manufacturers targeting the upper price segment of the market have started offering a different floorboard - narrower or wider bars. Also began to appear collections, which simultaneously use narrow and wide bars. This gives a variety of appearance to the floor covering. Laminate is not always perceived as a commercial coating. There are several reasons for this: lack of information, short life of laminated coatings on the world market, unregulated regulatory framework. Indeed, laminate, like one of the youngest floor coverings, has many prospects - let us list some of them: The prospect of improving the structure of the material; The prospect of expanding the production base (an increase in the number of producers representing high-quality commercial laminate); The perspective of the development of domestic production; The prospect of improving the legislative framework; The prospect of growth in the consumer market.
