  6. McGill Engineering Student Centre The McGill Engineering Student Centre (MESC) opened in 2007. MESC is a one-stop facility for student services offering integrated academic and career advising.

Life as an Engineering Student • The McGill semester is very short and you should work hard from day 1 – don’t fall behind on assignments • You are all elite students – the environment is very competitive • Engineering programs are considered to be difficult by McGill students - but are also recognized as the most fun and satisfying! • Take part in student design projects or extra-curricular clubs such as the Engineers without Borders • Don’t hesitate to seek help - peer tutorials, departmental and MESC advisors, professors
