BHL-SciELO Network and Information Sources • BHL Brazil: scanned 385 works within gBHL, including books about Brazilian fauna and flora, and national scientific journals => will include around 2.000 scanned works from the Brazilian Institutions • BHL Global: 113.117 works – journals and books – which integrate the biodiversity global network of libraries (gBHL) • Portal of Biodiversity Journals: 38 scientific journalspublished in 5 countries of SciELONetwork • Legislation: updated collection of national 69 laws and international treaties, • BIOTA/FAPESP Repository: constituted by the bibliographic metadata of 547 scientific articles of BIOTA/FAPESP Program • ThesBio: multilingual hierarchic tool with 5.128 biodiversityterms and 3.704 scopenotes in Portuguese, English and Spanish languages • Communication: news, blog, twitter • List of Species

Conclusions on SciELO-BHL development • Bureaucratic barriers - slow but sustainable process • Political support - aligned with national policies--- critical to get institutional and financial support • Scientific support - aligned with research programs--- critical to get research community support • Based on existing national and international successful experiences: BHL, SciELO and VHL • Network rationality, open access, public good • Committed to BHL network
